Curious about how we get paid?
Agents get paid a commission of the total selling price of the home, in Manitoba this commission can vary, yet 4-5% is common. In most cases, the seller and the agent negotiate a commission to be paid once the home is sold. This agent will split the commission with an agent who brings a buyer. So, in summary, as a buyer it will cost you nothing to work with a Realtor, as it is the seller who pays both fees. However, in some uncommon cases should a buyer purchase a home privately, the Realtor may require payment for their services.
